A reputed and well-established Restaurant is looking for a qualified, experienced, and dedicated professional to join our team as a Senior Accountant.

📍 Location: Kalanki, Kathmandu
💰 Salary: NPR 40,000 – 50,000 per month
🕙 Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
📌 Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Position

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Senior Accountant who can independently manage day-to-day accounting operations and support the overall financial management of the restaurant. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate and timely financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain daily accounting and financial records.
• Handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
• Prepare and maintain ledgers, journals, vouchers, and other accounting documents.
• Monitor cash flow, cash transactions, and bank-related activities.
• Perform bank reconciliation and regular account reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Verify bills, invoices, expenses, and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate records of restaurant sales and expenses.
• Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and cost control.
• Monitor food, beverage, operational, and other business-related expenses.
• Coordinate with management regarding financial performance and accounting matters.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Assist with tax-related documentation, VAT/TDS records, and statutory requirements as applicable.
• Support internal and external audits when required.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely correction.
• Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a restaurant, hospitality, or service-oriented business.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good command of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial documentation.
• Knowledge of Nepal’s tax, VAT, and TDS procedures will be an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with management and other departments.
• Honest, responsible, organized, and committed to maintaining financial confidentiality.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
