Vacancy Announcement – Assistant Accountant

Our Client invites applications from qualified, competent, and motivated candidates for the position of Assistant Accountant.

📌 Position Details

• Position: Assistant Accountant
• Time: 11pm – 9 am (Night)
• Department: Credit Control
• Location: Tokha-06, Dhapasi, Kathmandu

• Education: Intermediate in Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Bachelor running or fresh graduates are preferred.
• Experience:
  1–2 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or a similar position preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update customer ledgers and accounts receivable records.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances, credit limits, and overdue payments.
• Prepare and regularly update Accounts Receivable Aging Reports.
• Coordinate with Sales & Marketing regarding customer outstanding balances and credit limits.
• Follow up with customers for timely settlement of matured and overdue payments.
• Assist in preparing collection reports and daily/weekly receivable summaries.
• Verify invoices, receipts, credit notes, debit notes, and related accounting documents.
• Reconcile customer ledgers with accounting records.
• Identify discrepancies in customer accounts and coordinate necessary corrections.
• Assist in preparing management reports on overdue accounts and credit exposure.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of customer-related financial records.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• Sound knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Credit Control.
• Knowledge of customer ledger management and reconciliation.
• Understanding of credit limits, outstanding balances, and aging analysis.
• Knowledge of invoicing, receipts, credit notes, and debit notes.
• Basic knowledge of VAT and applicable accounting documentation.
• Good MS Excel skills, including formulas, sorting/filtering, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and report preparation.
• Familiarity with accounting software/ERP systems.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and customer follow-up skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with Sales, Marketing, Accounts, and customers.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and record-keeping ability. .
