Responsibilities:

1. Guest Service:
   • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
   • Provide recommendations on menu items, specials, and beverages, based on guests’ preferences and dietary restrictions.
   • Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system promptly.
2. Table Service:
   • Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards.
   • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and courteously.
   • Anticipate guests’ needs, such as refilling water glasses, clearing plates, and providing additional condiments or utensils as needed.
3. Menu Knowledge:
   • Familiarize yourself with the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information.
   • Answer guests’ questions about menu items, specials, and beverage selections confidently and accurately.
4. Upselling and Promotion:
   • Promote menu items, specials, and promotions to guests to maximize sales and enhance their dining experience.
   • Suggest wine pairings or dessert options to complement guests’ meal selections and increase revenue per cover.
5. Cleanliness and Hygiene:
   • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
   • Adhere to hygiene and food safety standards, including hand hygiene, glove usage, and proper handling of utensils and tableware.
6. Team Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth coordination of food and beverage service.
   • Communicate guest requests, special instructions, and order modifications to the kitchen and bar teams accurately.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the hotel’s operational needs.
