Job Description:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor Officer to join our team. The Counselor Officer will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students throughout the admissions process, offering assistance with academic and career decisions, and ensuring their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and a passion for helping others achieve their goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to students to understand their academic background, career aspirations, and personal challenges.
• Assist students in selecting suitable educational programs and universities based on their interests, academic performance, and career goals.
• Guide students through the application process, including completing application forms, writing personal statements, and preparing for interviews.
• Offer support and advice to students regarding academic and extracurricular activities to enhance their college applications.
• Address any concerns or issues raised by students and provide appropriate solutions or referrals to support services.
• Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, education, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in counseling or advising students, preferably in an educational or consultancy setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Empathy and understanding of the challenges students may face during the admissions process.
• Knowledge of educational systems, university admissions criteria, and career pathways.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Certification or licensure in counseling (if applicable) is a plus.
